Dr. Nabeel Khan

Dr. Nabeel Khan was born and raised in Madison, WI. Following completion of his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he attended dental school at Southern Illinois University. Upon graduation in 1995, he attended Saint Louis University where he received his Masters of Science degree in endodontics.

Dr. Khan and his wife Lydia have two children.

Dr. Khan has been practicing in the Madison area since 1997.

Dr. Douglas M. Ferris

Dr. Douglas Ferris is a native of Mississippi and joined the Capital Endodontics team in 2005. He graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi in 1993 receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Chemistry and English. After graduation he attended the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry and graduated magna cum laude in 1998.

After dental school Dr. Ferris joined the Air Force and in 1999 completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the 99th Medical Group, Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, DC. Between 1999 and 2001 he continued to serve as a staff general dentist at various Washington area military facilities including the Pentagon and Andrews Air Force Base.

In 2001 Dr. Ferris moved to Portland, Oregon to begin a two year residency in endodontics at the OregonHealth & ScienceUniversity during which time he remained on active duty with the Air Force. Upon completion of his residency in 2003 he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to become Chief of Endodontics at Nellis Air Force Base. Over the course of two years Dr. Ferris also supervised the education of eight Air Force general dentists by providing mentoring in the specialty of endodontics.

While in the Air Force, Dr. Ferris received the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and two Air Force Commendation Medals. Dr. Ferris completed his military service obligation in June 2005 and left the Air Force at the rank of Major.

Dr. Ferris maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, and the Wisconsin Dental Association. He has lectured both locally and nationally and has been published in the American Association of Endodontists’ Journal of Endodontics.

In November 2009 Dr Ferris passed the third and final part of the American Board of Endodontics certification process and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.

In his spare time, Dr. Ferris enjoys spending time with his wife, and their young daughter. Dr. Ferris also enjoys running, mountain biking, hiking, and downhill skiing.

Dr. Chad Campanelli

Dr. Campanelli was born and raised in Iowa City, IA. He obtained his B.A. from Knox College (1997), his D.D.S. (2001) and endodontic certificate (2007) from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.

Dr. Campanelli practiced general dentistry in Wisconsin from 2001-2005.
He is a published author (Journal of Endodontics 2008) and a board certified endodontist (2009). Dr. Campanelli was recognized by his peers as a top endodontist in Madison Magazine (2009).

Dr. Campanelli joined the Capital Endodontics team in July of 2007. He enjoys golfing, fishing, and many other outdoor activities.

Dr. John Lundstrom

Dr. John Lundstrom graduated from Indiana University in 1988, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. After a year as a public accountant in Chicago, he attended Marine Corps Officer Candidate School followed by naval flight training where he earned his wings as a Naval Flight Officer. After two deployments to the Bosnia and Herzegovina theater of operations, he transitioned to the Naval Dental Corps, where he graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 2003.

After dental school John completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Norfolk Naval Dental Center, Norfolk, VA. Between 2004 and 2006 he continued to serve as the Medical and Dental Department Head on USS San Antonio (LPD-17).

In 2006 John entered the endodontic program at The University of Iowa, College of Dentistry. In 2009 he graduated with a certificate in endodontics and a Master of Science in oral science. During this time he remained on active duty with the Navy. From 2009 to 2012, John served the Navy as an endodontic specialist in Twentynine Palms, California and Great Lakes, Illinois.

While in the Marine Corps and Navy, John received two Navy Commendation Medals, a Navy Achievement Medal, five Air Medals and various other personal and unit awards. John attained the rank of Captain in the Marine Corps and Commander in the Navy.

John maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, and the Wisconsin Dental Association. He has been published in the Journal of Endodontics. He is currently board eligible in the American Board of Endodontics certification process.

In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with his wife and their four young children and enjoys running, hiking, and other outdoor activities.
